Meet The Team
At Flatirons Recovery, we believe in treating addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders from the inside out. We recognize and nurture the basic goodness and sanity that is alive in each of our clients, while supporting their process of healing, in order to provide them with the opportunity to develop a more stable, confident foundation for a long-lasting life in recovery.
Flatirons Recovery takes the same approach to constructing a caring, compassionate team of professionals to guide our clients through their recovery process. We respect, value, and empower each member of our team to continue their own process of growth and healing, while living our mission to provide greater clarity of purpose, connection to community, and ability to take action to the clients we serve.
Meet our amazing team!

Mark Oberg LPC, LAC
Co-Founder & CEO
Mark received his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, master’s degree from Naropa University, in Boulder, Colorado, and brings 10+ years of clinical experience applying mindfulness-based interventions to those suffering from substance use and dual-diagnosis disorders.
Mark’s mindfulness-based perspective on treatment for substance use disorders is informed by the many Buddhist meditation retreats that he has participated in over the years, as well as by his daily meditation practice. Working in this way with his own emotional experience has allowed Mark more ability to look closely at himself in a kind, non-judgmental way to find the opportunity for growth in his pain, a practice he brings to his work with clients.
Over the course of his career working with clients to recover in residential, outpatient, and community mental health settings, Mark has seen first-hand the benefits that consistent application of mindfulness-based practices can have on people’s ability to recover. These include a greater ability to tolerate and cope in healthier ways with cravings, an increased capacity to accept oneself free from guilt and shame, as well as greater emotional and relational flexibility.
Mark is also trained in eye-movement and desensitization reprogramming (EMDR), DBT, and Motivational Interviewing facets of which he incorporates in various ways during both individual and group treatment.
In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter exploring nature through hiking, camping, and paddle boarding all over the beautiful state of Colorado. Mark also enjoys watching the Minnesota Vikings and Twins, and listening to music, in whatever free-time he has leftover.

Cam Murphy, MA, LPCC
Primary Therapist
Cam (they/them) has been working in behavioral health since 2014, predominantly in the substance use field. They received both their Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Naropa University. Their bachelor’s was in Interdisciplinary studies concentrating in contemplative psychology, peace studies, and yoga studies. Their master’s degree was in Somatic Body Psychotherapy. Somatic Body Psychotherapy understands and connects mind, body, and soul. Our bodies are a part of our lived experience and they strongly believe the body has a place within the therapeutic journey as well.
Cam is also a certified 200 hour yoga teacher and enjoys incorporating restorative and yin yoga to their client’s recovery journey. They have been trained and certified as an AcuDetox provider through NADA.
They bring mindful movement, creative recovery, and yoga to Flatirons Recovery, as well as guided meditation, mindfulness and connecting nature to therapy. Cam believes that when we are able to connect with our bodies we are connecting with nature. We are not separate. There can often be a disconnect between the body, mind, and soul when in active addiction and by reconnecting with ourselves, the earth, and water we can reintroduce ourselves to our authentic selves.
Cam enjoys reading, cooking, watching movies, and likes to spend time outside as much as possible. It is a mission of theirs to have the outdoors be as accessible and available for all bodies! They like to walk their dog, climb, hike, camp, snowshoe, and they really want to learn how to cross country ski!

Pippa
Therapy Dog
she/her/hers
Despite my small size, I am doing a big job! I am a trained Canine-Assisted Therapy dog. Unlike service dogs, therapy dogs are encouraged to interact with a variety of people while they are on-duty. Studies on pet therapy show that pet visits reduce stress and pain, improve mental health and decrease feelings of isolation. My favorite way of reducing feelings of isolation is by showering you with kisses (if you let me). But I might also boop you with my nose from time to time.
I can’t wait to meet you and show you all the tricks I know. One of the tricks people seem most impressed by is my ability to speak using recordable sound buttons. I know and use over 40 words! I have a big brain and an even bigger heart in this little 10 pound body. I am gentle, easy-going, and love working with my assistant (also known as my Mom, also known as Anya, also known as the Clinical Director) to improve the lives of people.
